Star Trek Playmates 1995 Catalogue Part 2: 4.5" and 9" Figures, Unproduced Ships, Role Play & Chromium Collector Series

The second batch of images from Playmates' 1995 catalogue focus on 4.5" and 9" figures.  Look closely and you'll see descriptions of unproduced Interstellar Action versions of both Riker and Worf.  

Described (but not shown) is the Chromium Collector Series - what would have been a wave of 3" die cast figures covering characters from TOS, TNG and Deep Space Nine.

In the category of items sadly never made are the Romulan Disruptor, a Type II Phaser with Training Target as well as electronic versions of the Ferengi Marauder and Cardassian Galor Class Warship.

These images have all kindly been provided by Playmates superfan and devotee Martin Reibe.  Martin has always been a friend to the Trek Playmates community and is happy to share these images with fans worldwide.

Star Trek Bandai Catalogue (1998) Final Warp Factor Wave + Ultra Trek, Resin Dioramas & Unproduced 9" Figures

The fourth and final batch of images is from Bandai’s 1998 catalogue. 

Prepare to be heartbroken, as this final catalogue from Bandai contains the highest number of unreleased items!

Get a good look at the final wave of Warp Factor figures (including Bele!), the initial wave of Ultra Trek figures, 9” figures with changeable costumes plus statues & resin dioramas that never made it into production!

Star Trek Bandai Catalogue (1995)

Happy New Year and thank you to everyone who has supported this tiny blog!

Thanks to the generosity of Martin of Star Trek Toyhunter, I’m able to share some high quality scans of the Star Trek Bandai catalogues!  Bandai was the European distributor of Playmates’ Star Trek product until the cancellation of the line.

In this first batch of images, you’ll see the introduction of Data and Geordi in “movie” uniforms, get a good look at Lwaxana Troi’s dress and see some gorgeous Innerspace concept art.

Star Trek Playmates 1994 Catalogue Part 2: Ships, Shuttles & Accessories

These unique images are courtesy of Martin Reibe and are used with his kind permission.  They represent a selection of pages taken directly from the Playmates Toys catalogue.  

Produced in 1994, these images will be presented over several posts.  Keep an eye out for unreleased items and rare prototypes!  

This second group of images contains plans for an electronic Ferengi Marauder which never materialised and the sadly unreleased Phaser Rifle!
